85-year-old found locked in a bank for whole night
Krishna Reddy, who is suffering from diabetes and other illnesses, was forced to spend an entire night inside the bank locker.
Hyderabad: 85-year old man accidentally locked inside locker by bank staff in Hyderabad. The old man spent the whole night inside and was rescued the next day.
On Tuesday morning, when the bank opened around 10.30 am, the staff found the old man inside the locker room, India Today reported.
According to local media reports, the old man V Krishna Reddy, a resident of Jubilee hills Road No 67, had gone to the Union bank near Jubilee hills’ check post to collect something from the locker around 4:30 pm on Monday.
Krishna Reddy, who is suffering from diabetes and other illnesses, was forced to spend an entire night inside the bank locker.
The Jubilee hill police, according to a news report from Telangana Today, said, “The bank security personnel did not notice him and locked the room and left for the day.”
The man’s family came to the police station and filed a missing report against V Krishna after searching him at various places.
The next day on Tuesday Morning when the employees opened the bank, around 10:30 am they found Krishna Reddy in the bank and informed the police, Siasat daily reported.
The jubilee hills police reached the spot and shifted the man to a hospital as he was in a state of frightened. He was in a state of shock and the police shifted him to a hospital. Following the incident, the bank has been blamed for negligence.
After verification, he was sent inside the locker room. He did not realise that it was closing time for the bank. And the bank security staff, on the other hand, also did not notice him inside the locker. They shut the bank and left for the night.
