Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) likely to project party MP Bhagwant Mann as party Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
Mann is AAP MP of Sangrur constituency and also Party Punjab unit chief. Party has made up its mind to project Mann as its CM in the State. Before entering into politics, Mann was a comedian, performs skits in the Punjabi language.

In early December, Bhagwant Mann had stunningly claimed that a senior BJP leader offered him money and a place in the Union Cabinet to join their party ahead of the state polls, but BJP has refuted his charges.
AAP has made an impressive performance in Punjab local body polls, unseating the BJP, which swept the polls last time winning 20 seats.
The Congress too, improved its performance, doubling its seats from four to eight - all at the expense of the BJP.
The AAP has confident to win Punjab assembly elections, boosted by the constant public bickering in the ruling Congress and the falling out of the Akali Dal and the BJP over the contentious farm laws.
Mr Kejriwal's party has made pre-poll promises to the people and assured the Delhi model of governance in the state with a focus on free power, water, doorstep services, health and education.
