BJP MLA murder plot: Police register case

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that police have taken up the investigation of the murder plot of Yelahanka BJP MLA S.R. Vishwanath.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Bommai said that “police have started the investigation after registering the case. I have spoken to the police commissioner in this regard. Police have started a preliminary enquiry into the matter. Police will take care and will take action against the accused according to the law”, CM said.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Vishwanath said that, “accused Devaraj has given apology letter, pen drive of video footage. Police have started the investigation. Police have said that there are three people at the hotel where the conversation has taken place for murder sketch of mine”, he said

“I have included Devaraj’s name in my complaint. I have no idea how many members are involved in a murder plot. But video footage says supari killers from Andhra Pradesh have come to the city to execute the plan. I have requested the police to arrest the accused Gopalakrishna, main accused in the case”, Mr. Vishwanath added.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Vishwanath has met the Chief Minister, requested the investigation. He has also requested to order a high-level enquiry into the matter.
