BJP MP’s of Bengal to meet PM Modi over Birbhum incident
The members will meet over breakfast at the house of the PM to discuss the matter. While WB CM Mamata Banerjee has already visited Birbhum and met the victims, Modi has condemned the incident.
New Delhi: Following Birbhum violence in West Bengal where eight persons were allegedly burnt alive, the MPs BJP of West Bengal is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the law and order situation prevailing in WB.
According to the reports, the delegation of MPs will meet the PM on Wednesday in Delhi. It may be noted that the incident burning witnessed a heated debate in the Bengal assembly, members of the ruling TMC and opposition BJP almost came to blows.

It may be noted that the ghastly incident took place in Rampurhat town of Birbhum where eight members of the same family including two children were burnt alive by a mob.
According to the reports, the family was attacked as revenge for the alleged murder of TMC leader Bhadu Sheikh.
The BJP meanwhile is making an effort to target the Mamata government over the incident. The saffron party had experienced a humiliating defeat in WB despite holding extensive campaigns and raising communal issues.
Condemning the incident and holding the Matama government responsible for the act, the BJP has sought the resignation of Mamata.
The BJP accuses Mamata of being instrumental in launching violence in WE after gaining power.
Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari has called for President's Rule in the state, pointing out that Ms Banerjee, who holds the home portfolio, is directly responsible for law and order.
Several prominent BJP leaders of WB have already met union home minister, Amit Shah to update him about the incident and seek his intervention.
The Calcutta High Court has already ordered a CBI probe into the incident.
The opposition Congress which is not on good terms with Mamata has also demanded the imposition of President Rule in the State citing a crumbling law and order situation.
