CM Basavaraj Bommai tests positive for COVID-19, Health Minister Sudhakar self-isolates himself
Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar, a primary contact of CM Bommai, is voluntarily undergoing self-isolation for the next two days.
Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. He is under home quarantine.
CM Bommai posted a tweet, "I have tested positive for COVID -19 today with mild symptoms. My health is fine, I am under home quarantine. I request everyone who has recently come into my contact to isolate themselves and get tested."
Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar, a primary contact of CM Bommai, is voluntarily undergoing self-isolation for the next two days.
"Since I happen to be a primary contact of CM @BSBommai who tested positive for Covid-19 today, I am voluntarily undergoing self-isolation for next two days. The Abott ID NOW test done today evening has come negative and I will undergo RT-PCR test again after two days."
Although I am completely asymptomatic and doing absolutely fine, as a responsible citizen I will undergo self-isolation for two days considering the health and safety of others. All my official programs stands cancelled and I will continue to work through virtual platforms.
