Delhi court directs appearance of Honey Singh in domestic violence case
New Delhi: Delhi Court directed rapper and singer Honey Singh to appear before them on the next date of hearing, on September 3, in a case related to domestic violence filed by his wife, Shalini Talwar.
Honey Singh's counsel sought his exemption from personal appearance, citing that he's unwell. The counsel assured Delhi Court that Singh would appear on the next date of hearing.
Also, the court sought the medical report and Income Tax returns of Honey Singh, saying, "no one is above the law." Singh's counsel says that they will file medical records and Income Tax returns at the earliest.
Shalini Talwar filed a case under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.
Honey Singh's wife, Shalini Talwar, has filed a domestic violence case at the Tis Hazari Court in Delhi. She has sought Rs 10 crore in compensation.
