Delhi's Yash Dhull scores century in his Ranji Trophy debut
Guwahati: Delhi batsman Yash Dhull, who captained the U19 cricket team in the world cup, scored a century on his first-class debut in the ongoing Ranji Trophy Elite Group H contest at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.
Dhull scored a ton against Tamil Nadu in the ongoing Elite Group H contest here. Tamil Nadu won the toss and elected to field.
Dhull scored 113 off 150 balls with a strike rate of 75.33. He hit 18 boundaries in his inning.
Yash Dhull was sold to Delhi Capitals for Rs 50 Lakh at the recently concluded IPL Mega Auction. As Yash Dhull was up for grab, Delhi Capitals opened the bidding for him. Punjab Kings joined the race soon. Finally, Delhi Capitals signed Yash Dhull for INR 50 Lakhs.
He had struck a magnificent century in the semifinals against Australia in the U19 World Cup. Even overcame a bout with Covid-19 during the tournament.
