Foreign player hung me from 15th floor, says Yazuvendra Chahal
Chahal, who is now with RR, said that when he was with the Mumbai Indians, a "drunk" international player "hang him from the 15th floor."
Mumbai: In an episode of Rajasthan Royal's YouTube show 'Cricket Tales,' Yuzvendra Chahal recalled a nine-year-old incident.
Numerous cricket fans may be unaware that Yuzvendra Chahal made his IPL debut with the Mumbai Indians and formed close ties with many cricketers throughout his three-year spell with MI.
Chahal, who is now with RR, said that when he was with the Mumbai Indians, a "drunk" international player "hang him from the 15th floor."
"This dates back to 2013, when I was a member of the Mumbai Indians. In Bengaluru, we had a match. Following that, there was a get-together. So there was a player who was quite inebriated. I'm not going to take his name. He was really inebriated, he stared at me for a long time, and then he called me and took me outside, where he hung me on the balcony "Chahal stated.
The astute leg-spinner, who had nearly fainted at the time, did not name the cricketer.
"My hands were wrapped around him in this manner (shows the way of his grip). I would have been on the 15th floor if I hadn't lost my grip. Suddenly, a large number of people who were present arrived and took charge of the situation. They offered me water as I fainted. Then I realised how responsible we must be whenever we travel "Chahal elaborated.
Chahal is in good form and in the three matches he played for RR picked up seven wickets at an economy rate of 5.45.
