Kateel stoops low, termed Rahul Gandhi a 'drug peddler, addict '
BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel has stopped low by terming Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a drug peddler. Both Congress and BJP leaders using the Twitter handle to abuse each other
Bengaluru: BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel termed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a drug peddler and a drug addict.
BJP President’s controversial statement came after Karnataka Congress tweets on Prime Minister terming him as ‘HebbettuGirakiModi’, but later KPCC deletes the tweets and KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar apologies for the same. But BJP President has stopped to low terming Rahul Gandhi as a drug peddler. It was not the first time, Mr. Kateel is stopping such a low on Opposition Congress, In earlier tweets and statements, he has used unparliamentarily words against Congress leaders.
"Rahul Gandhi is a drug peddler, I am not saying it. The media has reported several times, Rahul Gandhi is a drug addict and drug peddler. Further, Nalin Kumar Kateel said that Rahul Gandhi can't even run the party and even Sonia Gandhi also cannot run the party. How can they run the Country when they are not able to run their party," Mr Kateel said in Hubballi while addressing party workers.
KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar condemned the statement of BJP President, he tweeted that” yesterday I said I believe we should be civil and respectful in politics, even to our opponents. I hope the BJP agrees with me and will apologise for their state president’s abusive and unparliamentary remarks against Shri Rahul Gandhi”, he tweeted.
Both Opposition and ruling BJP is involved in the war of words, both parties leaders publicly criticized each other in the bye-elections campaign of Sindagi and Hangal constituencies.

Karnataka Congress has earlier tweeted that “Congress built schools but Modi never went to study. Congress even set up schemes for adults to learn, Modi didn't learn there too. Even though begging is prohibited, people who are lazy have made the country’s people beggars. The country is suffering because of hebbettugirakimodi”, After the wrath of Netizens and bjp supporters across the country, KPCC has deleted its tweets.
But BJP leaders have not stopped attacking Opposition Congress for its objectionable remarks against the Prime Minister. Mr. Kateel tweets have led to another controversy. Both party leaders have been using social media to make allegations and counter-allegations. But words are using by both parties are unparliamentarily in nature.
