Kharge refers Vajpayee’s love towards whisky
Bengaluru: Former minister and Congress leader Priyank Kharge hit back at BJP national general secretary C.T. Ravi's controversial remarks on Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Mr. Kharge tweeted that, “Pandit. Nehru smoked (which is legal), so name a hookah bar after him. BJP leaders were caught on camera indulging in sexual acts (many of them got a stay), so what establishments will they start & whom will they name it after? Too many contenders”, Kharge tweeted.

In response to BJP national general secretary C.T. Ravi's remarks suggesting Congress to open a canteen in the name of Indira Gandhi in the KPCC office and open a hookah bar there in the name of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, junior Kharge stated that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee openly admitted that he loved his whisky, will BJP object his open admission towards his love towards meet and whisky, Mr. Kharge questioned.
BJP has not implemented single developmental projects or pro-people programs. It has the habit of changing the names. Mr. Ravi has stooped low by showing disrespect to Pandit Nehru and his contribution to modern India, Mr. Kharge said.
