Naveen’s father says he is donating his son’s body to hospital
Earlier, Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka had informed that the body of Naveen is expected to arrive in Bangalore on Monday.
Bengaluru: With the body of Naveen Gyanagoudar, a medical student of Haveri district who died in an attack in Ukraine recently, arriving on Monday, the parents of the deceased youth have announced to donate the body to a medical college.
It may be noted that Naveen lost his life in Kharkiv city when he had gone to buy some edibles while being stranded in a war-ravaged country. As the body was expected to arrive, the father said that the body will be given for medical research as his son too was doing his course in medicines.
Stating that his son had the desire to become a doctor, he however expressed dismay that the dream could never come true as he died in the war. “ I believe that since he could not become a doctor, his mortal remains will be of some use to the medical students here. After much deliberation, the family finally decided to donate the body to a medical college”, said Shankarappa, father of Naveen.
