PM Modi to visit Karnataka on April 5: CM Bommai
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit the state to inaugurate several developmental projects including the inauguration of Dr. Ambedkar School of Economics in Bengaluru.
Hubballi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bengaluru on April 5 to launch a slew of special programmes for development.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai told reporters that, the tentative date has been given by the Prime Minister's office regarding his visit to the state to inaugurate several developmental projects including the inauguration of Dr. Ambedkar School of Economics in Bengaluru.
Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Amit Shah is set to visit the State on April 1, to inaugurate 'Ksheera Abhivridhi Bank'.
Mr.Shah is keen to bring major reforms in the Cooperation sector and the state government is set to start 'Ksheera Abhivridhi Bank'. Shah would launch the Logo of the 'Ksheera Abhivridhi Bank' and the Yeshaswini programme during his visit. A huge convention is being organised as part of the launch programme as it would give a big boost for the dairy sector, Bommai said.
Regarding the question on cabinet expansion, the Chief Minister said, “Cabinet expansion issue will have to be discussed with the party top brass in Delhi. I will go to Delhi when the leadership calls me”, he said.
CS headed committee to implement Budget
For the first time in the State a committee headed by the Chief Secretary has been constituted for effective implementation of programmes announced in the Budget, Mr. Bommai said.
The committee would ensure issuing work orders for various programmes and projects with coordination between various departments and consent of the Finance Department. It would oversee the complete implementation of the Budget. The committee has been constituted to ensure speedy implementation of Budget programmes and get immediate clearances for the projects, he added.
Instructions have already been issued to all the departments for speedy implementation of all the projects announced in the budget, Mr. Bommai said.
"The state government has given importance for industries. Preparations are in full swing under the leadership of Industries minister Murugesh Nirani for the Global Investors Meet to be held in November 2022. We are aiming to attract huge investments", Mr. Bommai said.
Karnataka leads with the number one spot among the States in the country in attracting Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) for the last three quarters of the financial year. It shows the confidence of the foreign investors on Karnataka, Mr. Bommai said.
