Power cuts in Punjab: Sidhu attacks Amarinder Singh
Chandigarh: Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu attacked Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh in a series of over the state's power crises. Amarinder Singh is in charge of the power ministry.
Sidhu tweeted as the ruling Congress is witnessing an unrelenting feud ahead of assembly elections in the state in 2022.
"There is no need for power cuts in Punjab or for the Chief Minister to regulate office timings or AC use of the common people ... if we act in the right direction," the cricketer-turned-politician wrote in a Twitter thread.
The Chief Minister has cut short office hours and reduced supply to some industries to tackle unprecedented power outages in summer.
The tweets came a day after Sidhu held meeting with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
