CDS Gen Bipin Rawat demise, action against miscreants for derogatory tweets: Bommai

Haveri: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has warned that stringent action will be taken against those who posted ‘celebrated tweets’ for the untimely demise of Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 11 defence personals in the IAF Mi-17 helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu.
Miscreants have posted celebrating tweets, complaints have been revived by the cyber police regarding objectionable tweets of miscreants, taking note of derogatory tweets, the Chief Minister has said that action will be taken against those who celebrated the death of the Country’s defence officer.
After casting vote at Shiggavi polling both Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that he has given instruction to the police to file a criminal case those who posted derogatory tweets for the untimely demise of Gen Bipin Rawat in a horrifying Helicopter crash on Wednesday.
“Everyone should condemn this kind of behaviour of the miscreants. Those who posted derogatory tweets does not know the sanctity and responsibility of the post of CDS. Miscreants showed utmost disrespect to the defence personals. I have instructed the police to register criminal such miscreants”, Chief Minister said.
Chief Minister has also said that he has paid a visit to Command hospital in Bengaluru to enquire about the health of Group Captain Varun Singh, a lone survivor in a Helicopter crash in Coonoor.
