Hush Money Case: Trump Arrives In New York Ahead Of Court Appearance, Security Beefed Up
After his court appearance later on Tuesday, former US President Donald Trump will immediately fly back to Florida where he will deliver remarks at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach in the evening. He and his aides are using the case to and bolster his 2024 election campaign.
Trump faces charges stemming from an investigation that has centered on hush money payments to adult-film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election to conceal an alleged long-ago sexual encounter. Hours before his scheduled appearance, Trump posted on social media that the case should be moved to Republican-heavy Staten Island and continued to attack the judge handling the case. Trump is the first former U.S. president to be indicted.
