I follow Muhammad Ali, Mary Kom: Lovlina Borgohain
Tokyo: Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who has entered the semifinals in Welterweight (64-69kg) category, said she follows the footwork and long punch of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.
After assuring a medal for India in boxing, Lovlina Borgohain said, " I follow the footwork and long punch of boxer Muhammad Ali…After I stepped into boxing, I have only heard Mary Kom's name. It feels really good that she is here with us in the games. She has struggled a lot and I take inspiration from her".

Lovlina, who hails from the Golaghat district of Assam, said she is aimed for gold in the Tokyo Olympics. The pugilist said, "There is only one medal, it is gold. And I will aim for it. Right now, I'm preparing for the semifinals".
"I know that whole India is praying for me so I tried not take pressure and fought as fearlessly as I could", said the boxer.
