Passenger jet carrying 133 people crashes in China
The jet involved in the accident was a Boeing 737 aircraft and the number of casualties was not immediately known, state broadcaster CCTV said.

Beijing: A China Eastern Airline flight carrying 133 people crashed during its route from Kunming to Guangzhou in China, according to state media on Monday. The plan crashed in Guangxi Province. Casualties are unknown.
Civil Aviation Administration of China just confirmed that there are 132 (123 passengers and 9 crew) onboard. The plan crashed in Guangxi Province.
The jet involved in the accident was a Boeing 737 aircraft and the number of casualties was not immediately known, state broadcaster CCTV said. Rescue services were on their way to the scene, it said. There was no word on the cause of the crash.
President Xi Jinping called for investigators to determine the cause of the crash as soon as possible and to ensure "absolute" aviation safety, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
