‘So Disturbing’: Bihar Cop Seen Hitting Pregnant Woman With Scooter, Investigation Begins
A shocking video showing a Bihar police officer driving his scooter into a pregnant woman during a late-night patrol on Patna’s Marine Drive has sparked widespread outrage and prompted an official investigation.
The video, shared by the Indian Youth Congress, shows the pregnant woman standing in front of the uniformed officer’s scooter, trying to stop him from moving forward during what appears to be a dispute over a challan. She instructs her companion to record the incident as she confronts the officer.
Despite her repeated pleas, the policeman continues attempting to drive ahead, causing the scooter to nudge and drag the woman slightly as she refuses to move. At one point, she climbs onto the scooter’s back seat while arguing with the officer. Moments later, another policeman arrives and tries to calm her companion.
The footage quickly went viral, with social media users demanding strict action against the officer.
In response, Patna Police issued a statement saying they have “taken cognisance of the matter” and forwarded the video to the concerned officer for an immediate inquiry. The department assured that appropriate action will be taken once all facts are verified.
