Security breach: SC directs Centre to preserve travel records of Prime Minister
Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing to Monday and directed the Centre to Prime Minister’s travel records must be preserved.
New Delhi: Centre has submitted to the Supreme Court that the security breach of the Prime Minister has put the country to international shame and the matter is the rarest of rare case.

Security lapse of the Prime Minister has brought us international shame and has come up as a grave, a grave danger to the safety and security of the Prime Minister, the centre told the court while hearing the petition.
The Centre has also stated that the case ought to be investigated by the National Investigating Agency, it will not come under the purview of the state government.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta says that this incident could be an act of terror since Punjab is sharing a border with Pakistan.
The Punjab government has submitted to the court that the government has not taken this case lightly, formed a team headed by a retired judge of the Punjab-Hariyana High Court. Further Punjab has stated that besides the state committee, the Centre has also one more committee. Government is open to appointing any person to investigate the matter, Punjab government submitted to the court.
Further Punjab government has blamed the SPG has not followed the advice of the Punjab police regarding possible protests of the farmers and blockage of the highway.
The Punjab government informed the court that a probe panel has been formed on the issue. The probe panel will submit its report within 3 days.
