“Why Modi being single even after married ?”, Congress MLA questions BJP leaders
Congress MLA Anjali Nimbalakar response to Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar's remarks on single women and surrogate mother. He remarked that most women wanted to become single and do not want to give birth even after marriage.
Bengaluru: In a strong response to Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar, who remarked that ‘women want to become single and not want to give birth even after marriage’, Congress MLA of Khanapur constituency, Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar said, why bjp leaders not commenting on their leader Narendra Modi of living single even after getting married.
Anjali Nimbalkar tweeted that, “seriously!!! These men need counselling on World Mental Health Day”, she said.
“Let her live with her choices no one can decide for her but herself…Any comments on their leader @narendramodi Paradigm shift of living single even after getting married”.
Anjali’s response came after, Health minister’s remarks on occasion of World Mental Health Day. Mr. Sudhakar said that “I am sorry to say this, today we don't want our parents to live with us. A lot of modern women in India want to stay single. Even if they get married, don't want to give birth. They want surrogacy. There is a paradigm shift in our thinking, it's not good”, he said during the World Mental Health Day at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurological Sciences (NIMHANS).
Further Mr. Sudhakar said that " today we are going in a western way. We don't want our parents to live with us, forget about grandparents being with us” he remarked.
"Stress management is an art. This art we need not learn as Indians. We need to preach to the world how to handle stress, because yoga, meditation and Pranayama are the wonderful tools that our ancestors had taught the world thousands of years back," he said.
