New Delhi: Will poll strategist Prashant Kishor get a significant role in Congress?
Speculation was intensified after his meeting with AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Sources said that Kishor is seeking a bigger role in the Opposition party. During his discussion with Gandhi’s both have explored about formal role to the strategist as the party is preparing for big elections ahead.
Prashant Kishor's meeting with the Gandhi family was not the first time before he had held a similar meeting with them, sources said and added that he might get a bigger role in the main opposition party. Mr. Kishor is looking at a significant role in getting Congress ready for the 2024 elections.
After his impressive performance of poll management in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, Mr. Kishor said he would take a break and ‘quitting this space’.
Speaking to the media soon after the landslide victory of Mamata Banerjee, Mr. Kishor said that he would not continue in the post what he is doing. Further, he stated that going with his family to Assam and doing tea gardening.
Mr. Kishor has featured a big victory for Mamata Banerjee and M.K. Stalin in Bengal and Tamil Nadu, respectively
