4 children killed in Bhopal's Kamla Nehru Hospital fire incident
In a tragic incident, four children died at the children's ward of Kamla Nehru Hospital in Bhopal following an incident of fire on Monday.
Bhopal: In a tragic incident, four children died at the children's ward of Kamla Nehru Hospital in Bhopal following an incident of fire on Monday.
The fire brigade has reached the spot and rescue operations were carried out in presence of Medical Education Minister Vishvas Sarang. The situation is is completely under control.
"There were 40 children in the ward out of which 36 are safe. Ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakhs will be given to parents of each deceased," said the minister.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan condoled the death of children. The chief minister has ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health, Mohammad Suleman.

"It is an unfortunate incident. A probe has been ordered into the incident. This is a case of criminal negligence. Stringent action will be taken against those found guilty", said Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Calling the incident as "very painful", former Chief Minister and Congress leader Kamal Nath demanded "a high-level probe" into the incident and stern action against those responsible for it.
