Kolkata: The forensic report of the eight people who were charred to death in Bogtui village in Birbhum district in West Bengal revealed that they were brutally beaten up before they were burnt alive.

Among eight, two were children and three were women. The incident happened on Tuesday. According to the preliminary report of the forensic science experts who conducted tests on the charred bodies found that they were allegedly beaten up and then burnt alive. The victims were locked up in their houses before burning them alive.

Also, announced financial aid of Rs 2 lakhs for reconstructing affected houses. The families of the 10 people who died in the fire would be given a job and  Rs 5 lakhs.
 
So far around 20 people have been arrested in connection with the incident and the incident is said to be triggered after a Trinamool Congress leader was killed in a crude bomb attack on Monday evening. 

After her visit to Bogtui, the CM is expected to visit Rampurhat hospital, where she will meet the injured people said an officer. 

Several BJP leaders visited the village and West Bengal Congress party chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is scheduled to visit the village this apart a five-member central team of the BJP is also scheduled to visit Bogtui.

The Chief Minister has said that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the killings. Calcutta High Court and Governor Jagdeep Dhankar rapped Mamta for the incident.
