Bitcoin case: Congress all-out attacks worries Bommai

Bengaluru: Congress leaders continuous tirade against BJP government regarding its party leaders alleged involvement in the ‘Bitcoin’ scam made the ruling BJP back foot. Worried with continuous allegations of the Opposition Congress, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has rushed to Delhi to brief the party top brasses about the case.

On Wednesday, Congress leaders have intensified their attack against BJP leaders. Congress leader and former minister Priyank Kharge alleged that the Bitcoin scam will roll the head of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking to reporters in Kalaburgi, Mr.Kharge said that “Bir Coin scam finally will cost the CM post of Bommai. Many BJP leaders and bureaucrats are involved in this mega scam”, Mr. Kharge said.

“If government ordered for impartial enquiry in the case, within one month, the case will reach logical end. But the government has no interest to investigate the case and trying to hush up the case”, Mr. Kharge said.

BJP is trying to close the case, if it is ordered for investigation, many the leaders' name will come out. Many senior BJP leaders are involved in the scam, he alleged.

KPCC President, D.K. Shivakumar challenged Home Minister Araga Jnanendra to arrest the accused who involved in Bitcoin. Mr. Shivakumar demanded the Home Minister to place the records before the people regarding Bitcoin scam. “Why you are shielding the people involved in bid coin scam”, KPCC President asked.

“First get the details of the case then, how many bitcoin u have recovered. hy home minister is protecting the officers involved in the bitcoin case”, Shivakumar criticized.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai rubbished the allegations of Priyank Kharge, suggested that before making any allegation, Congress leader first get accurate information about the case. “Many Congress leaders names are doing rounds in Bitcoin scam, Congress leaders first think about their leaders who involved in the scam instead of accusing others”, Mr. Bommai said in Delhi.

Speaking to reporters at Mysuru, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah said that Congress is not making any blackmailing in Bitcoin scam case.

“According to the police reports, few BJP leaders and officers are involved in the scam, let the Chief Minister ordered for a thorough investigation into the matter, why he is afraid to order an investigation, after Congress allegation, the Chief Minister gets nerves and making counter-allegations against the Congress”, Siddaramaiah said.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders challenged the state government to disclose the son of Congress leader who was involved in a bitcoin scam.

BJP is making counterattacks for the all-out attacks of Congress leaders. RDPR Minister K.S.Eshwarappa criticized that Congress is making blackmailing politics by using the Bitcoin issue.
