Indian-origin man charged in Singapore court for causing hurt by dangerous weapon

SINGAPORE: (Apr 19) An Indian-origin was on Saturday charged with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons after he slashed a man in a residential area in Singapore.

R Nadhiban, 22, who ran naked in the Hougang housing estate, is accused of using a knife to slash 30-year-old Kaalithasan Govindaragi, also of Indian descent, on April 17 at about 1 pm at the open space car park between two apartment blocks.

The victim, who was with his three-year-old son, sustained injuries on his arm and was taken to a hospital.
