BJP central leadership buying more time to change BSY from CM post

Bengaluru: Will BJP central leadership is waiting for an appropriate time to give honorable exit to the Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa?

Highly placed sources in BJP central leadership told 24x7liveindia, leadership change in Karnataka will definitely happen, party central leadership will take a call in this regard without giving room for much discussion on the party platform. Party parliamentary board will soon decide on Karnataka affairs regarding smooth power transition. Party top brasses have already sent the feelers to incumbent Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa to relinquish the post, said BJP national leader, on condition of anonymity.

Sources also added that party central leadership will buy more time to change the leadership in state after assessing pros and cons.

  • “Party central leadership has given bonus period to Mr. Yediyurappa. Mr.Yediyurappa was the only CM in BJP ruled stats get bonus time in continuing in CM post. Party internal rule of no position to the leaders who crossed 75 years age was relaxed to Yediyurappa considering his contribution to the party to build it from scratches and bringing first-ever BJP government in South of Vindhyas. But it cannot be stretched too long, the party is considering to change the leadership in the state soon”, the leader added.

Regarding ongoing saga on leadership change in the party and MLAs open statements against the Chief Minister was not at all deterred  party central leadership. Party has not given much attention to ongoing attempts to unseat Yediyurappa from CM  post, BJP top leader remarked.

BJP top leader has also expressed his displeasure for BJP rebel MLA’s attempt to dethrone Mr. Yediyurappa from CM post. Mr. Bellad was under impression that open revolt against Yediyurappa would help him to project as the leader. But in the process of the leadership change exercise, Mr. Bellad has lost the chance of emerging dark horse. He has ample opportunity to emerge as leader, without coming to public glare, but now he will not gain anything from this exercise, he added.

Though Mr. Bellad and Yogishwar had tried their best to maintain secrecy abut their Delhi trip, however BSY camp has leaked it to media and it triggered pro-BSY camp issuing statements in favor of Yediyurappa.

"BJP has many alternative leaders to become the Chief Minister. Now Yediyurappa is our leader and CM, Alternative leader issue arise only after change of leadership. We have no dearth of leaders any ordinary worker can become leader in our party”, he replied regarding question about who will fill the shoe of Mr. Yediyurappa.

Bundle of complaints against BSY

BJP central leadership has already received bundle of complaints regarding ineffective administration, corruptions, nepotism and too much interference of family members of Yediyurappa in day to day administration.

Party central leadership has already examined the complaints against CM and his ineffective administration. But they want transition of power should be smooth affairs.

Arun Singh report to the National President could be a formal affairs to party central leadership. With or without considering the report, BJP central leadership will take a call to change the leadership in Karnataka, sources added.
