Obscene videos sent to BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur: Police register case
Police have registered the case against two accused based on their mobile numbers. Police said that very soon they will arrest the culprits.
Bhopal Police have registered a case against two unidentified persons for sending obscene messages and videos to Bhopal MP, Pragya Singh Thakur.
Based on the complaint filed by Pragya Singh stating that she had received obscene messages and videos from two unknown numbers.
According to the complaint filed by Bhopal MP, she has received a call from an unknown number, first, she has disconnected the call. Then she received an obscene video as well as a text message from another unknown number.
“It was an attempt to bring disrepute me on the public by uploading obscene video and messages in social media platform”, BJP MP stated in the complaint.
Police have registered a case against two unidentified persons under section 354 (assaults or uses criminal force to any woman), section 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) and section 509 (intending to insult the modesty of any woman) under IPC, said Investigating officer Chain Singh Raghuvamshi.
The messages and videos sending me from unknown numbers with an intention to disrepute my image in public”, Pragya said in the complaint. Police have said that based on mobile numbers they will trace the accused and book them under the law.
