Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will present his maiden budget on Friday in the Legislative Assembly at 12.30 PM.

Chief Minister held back to back meeting with departments officials regarding the preparation of the Budget.

Before giving final touch to the Budget, Mr. Bommai held a meeting with Assistant Chief Secretary ISN Prasad, Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister Manjunath Prasad, Secretary to Finance department Ekroop Kaur and joint secretary to the Chief Minister G. Jagadish.

Chief Minister has faced stormy joint session, it was cut short following Congress members protest demanding the resignation of RDPR minister K.S.Eshwarappa over his statement on the national flag.

The 19-day session will conclude on March 30, with just one year left for the Assembly polls and this would be a full-fledged budget ahead of the Assembly elections.

Chief Minister is likely to present the pro-people budget to woo voters with sops. However, the economic condition of the state is unhealthy due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chief Minister Bsavaraj Bommai will do regarding the borrowings that have been increasing year after year. The opposition is likely to counter the government on its management of the state's finances following the budget presentation and pending financial grants of the Centre to the state.
