C.T. Ravi’s another controversial remark, termed AIMIM is like ‘Taliban’
Bengaluru: BJP National general secretary and in-charge of Tamil Nadu BJP affairs, C.T.Ravi again made one more controversial statement termed Asaduddin Owaisi headed AIMIM and SDPI are like Taliban
Criticizing AIMIM's decision of contesting Kalaburgi City Corporation elections, Mr. Ravi stated that "AIMIM is like the Taliban, people will reject it in the elections".
It is not the first time Mr.Ravi is making controversial statements; a few days back, he advised Congress leaders to open the Hookah bar in the name of Nehru at the Congress office, and he advised Congress to open Indira Canteen at the Congress office. His statement has received wide criticisms from Congress, and BJP has maintained distance over it. Despite severe criticisms against his statement, Mr. Ravi stands by his statement.
Recently he made another statement that The Indian Constitution will exist till the Hindu population is in the majority. He has also stressed that Hindus should have more children.

Recently the Tamil Nadu government has opposed the Mekedatu project across the Cauvery river; Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has openly stated that he will implement the project in a war footing manner; however, Mr. Ravi has been hesitant to give a statement in favour of Karnataka.
Sharply reacted to Ravi’s statement, Owaisi termed him as ‘child’, Mr. Ravi doesn’t know about International affairs, he is a child”, Mr. Owaisi said.
