Chinese Army finds missing Arunachal Pradesh youth: Defence PRO

Tezpur: The missing Arunachal Pradesh youth,17-year-old Miram Taron, has been found by the Chinese Army, reported news agency ANI. 

PRO Defence, Tezpur Lt Col Harshvardhan Pandey told news agency ANI that the Chinese Army has communicated to us that they have found a missing boy from Arunachal Pradesh and the due procedure is being followed.  

Miram Taron, a resident of Zido village of Upper Siang district, was part of a group that was hunting in the border area between both countries. 

Last week, Tapir Gao, BJP MP from Arunachal- East, alleged that Miram Taron was abducted from inside Indian territory, his friend escaped from People's Liberation Army (PLA) and reported to the authorities. Also, Tapir Gao requested the Government of India to take measures to an early release of the boy. 

The Indian Army on Thursday sought assistance from China's  PLA in locating a missing boy named Miran Taron from Arunachal Pradesh and return him as per established protocol, news agency ANI reported.

The Army contacted the PLA as soon as it received the information regarding the missing 17-year-old, ANI further reported.
