Unlock 4.0: Cinema halls, Degree Colleges to reopen in Karnataka
Bengaluru: In a new set of guidelines announced on Sunday, the Karnataka Government has allowed the reopening of cinema halls with 50 per cent occupancy in the state.
Cinema halls/multiplexes/theatres/rangamandiras/auditoriums and similar places permitted to operate with 50 per cent of its seating capacity strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behaviour and SOPs issued by the concerned departments
Also, the government has given its nod to reopen degree colleges from July 26. Only students, teaching and non-teaching/other staff who have taken at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be permitted to attend the colleges/institutions. Attendance of students will be optional.

The night curfew will be imposed from 10 PM to 5AM. No decision has been taken on reopening of swimming polls and pubs.
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Dy CM CN Ashwath Narayan, R Ashoka, Chief Secretary Rvi Kumar, Arvind Limbavali were present in the meeting over Covid-19 pandemic held at CM's offical residence.
The government has already allowed the reopening of medical, dental colleges and allied healthcare academic institutions. However, the candidates who have taken at least one dose of the COVID vaccine will be allowed to enter.
