Covid: 2.68 lakh new cases in India
The positivity rate has been increased from 14.6 to 16.66 percent in the last 24 hours. Omicron variant cases have also been increased to over 6000 cases in the Country. Elections bound Uttar Pradesh, Goa , Punjab, Manipur and Uttarakhad also registered increase in Covid cases
New Delhi: India has registered 2.68 lakh new Covid cases today, increasing the total tally to 3.67 crores including 6041 Omicron cases. The total positivity cases have raised from 14.6 % to 16.66%.
The Covid recovery percentage has been decreased to 94.83 percent and an increase of 1,45,747 positive cases has been recorded, says Union Health Ministry.
Total 402 people have died of Covid in the past 24 hours. According to Health Ministry data, Maharashtra is the worst-hit states by the Covid pandemic with total of 43,211 new cases and 19 deaths in the last 24 hours. The state has total positive cases of 71,24,278 positive cases. The positivity rate in Delhi jumped to 30.64 percent on Friday with a new case of 24,383.
