Lockdown extended in Tamil Nadu till July 19th
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has extended lockdown until July 19th, with further relaxations.
As per the latest government guidelines, hotels, tea shops, bakeries, roadside shops, snack shops can function with 50 per cent of customers till 9 pm.
However, schools, colleges, theatres, liquor bars, swimming pools, zoos will remain closed. Shops and other activities allowed till 8 pm will be allowed to remain open till 9 pm.

Examinations for employment opportunities for Tamil Nadu State and Central Government can take place.
Also, interstate transport and social/political/cultural events will remain barred. But the operation of buses to Puducherry to continue. The number of active Covid-19 cases dropped below 1,600 in the Union Territory of Puducherry on Saturday, after a span of more than three months.
