Jharkhand High Court expressed dissatisfaction over the progress of the investigation into the Dhanbad judge death.
Ranchi: Jharkhand High Court expressed dissatisfaction over the progress of the investigation into the Dhanbad judge Uttam Anand's death.
The Court has instructed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director to be presented at the next hearing through video conferencing on October 29.
The CBI has filed its first chargesheet in the Dhanbad judge death case on October 20. The CBI took over the probe on July 31 after the Supreme Court said the incident had larger ramifications for the independence of the judiciary.
The CBI, investigating the hit-and-run case leading to the death of Dhanbad district and sessions judge Uttam Anand, is focusing on the cases that were being dealt by the deceased judge prior to his death.
CCTV footage of the incident showed that the District Sessions Judge Uttam Anand, 49-year-old, was jogging on one side of the wide road when the heavy auto-rickshaw hit him from behind and fled.
