Commenting on the raids, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in Punjab, said, "It's very sad to know that raid is being conducted on the premises of Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi's relative in connection with a case of illegal sand mining. Punjab CM and his relatives are involved in illegal sand mining."
Illegal sand mining has been one of the talking points in the Punjab campaign. The ruling Congress has been accused by its former Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh, of links to the trade.
