Punjab Assembly Election 2022: Bhagwant Mann Aam Aadmi Party's CM face
Delhi CM Kejriwal announced Bhagwant Mann's name in the Press Conference held in from Punjab. Bhagwant Mann is Lok Sabha MP from Sangrur constituency in Punjab.
Chandigarh: Bhagwant Mann is the chief ministerial candidate of Punjab, announced Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi. Over 21 lakhs of votes were polled by people to choose the CM face of Punjab.
AAP had given an option to the people of Punjab to choose their chief minister. The party has asked Punjab voters to dial 7074870748 to name their choice of CM. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had categorically said that he was not in the race for CM face.
Kejriwal announced Bhagwant Mann's name in the Press Conference held in from Punjab. "93.3 per cent people voted for Bhagwant Mann, 3.6 per cent voted for Navjot Sidhu," said Kejriwal.

Bhagwant Mann is Lok Sabha MP from Sangrur constituency in Punjab and is the party's state unit chief. Before joining politics, Mann was a professional comedian and earned the name Comedy King" and "Jugnu".
In 2008, Mann competed in the Great Indian Laughter Challenge on Star Plus which increased his audience. Bhagwant Mann also acted in the National Award-winning Film " Main Maa Punjab Dee" Directed by Balwant Dulla
The 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly elections will be held in Punjab on 20 February 2022 to elect the 117 members of the 16th Assembly of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. The votes will be counted and the results will be declared on 10 March 2022.
