ED takes Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar into custody
Last year, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested Iqbal Kaskar in a drugs case.
Mumbai: Brother of the brother of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, Iqbal Kaskar, has been sent to Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody for seven days by a court in Mumbai in a money laundering case.
The ED is currently probing a money laundering case in Mumbai. Recently, the agency has raided several properties connected to Dawood Ibrahim, including the residence of Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parker.
According to reports, the ED was carrying out searches in connection with a money laundering case with several links in the underworld, illegal property deals, and hawala transactions.
Last year, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested Iqbal Kaskar in a drugs case. He was deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2003. He was said to be operating his brother’s real estate business in Mumbai.
