Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, BJP wanted to make a big change as it feared defeat in the elections with the growing popularity of AAP in Himachal Pradesh.
New Delhi: Delhi Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia stated that BJP has been rattled by growing public support for the Aam Aadmi Party in Himachal Pradesh, so it has contemplated replacing the incumbent chief minister Jai Ram Thakur with Union Minister Anurag Thakur.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, BJP wanted to make a big change as it feared defeat in the elections with the growing popularity of AAP in Himachal Pradesh.
“We came to know from very trusted sources that the BJP wants to replace Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur with Anurag Thakur as it is scared of the popularity of Arvind Kejriwal and his pro-people governance in Delhi," Mr. Sisodia claimed.
People have been disappointed with BJP in the last four and half years of its governance, now it has realized that going to the election with Jai Ram Thakur would be a disaster. So it has decided to replace the Chief Minister. The reason for BJP’s fear is AAP and its national convener Arvind Kejriwal.
Party is receiving an overwhelming response from the people in Himachal Pradesh. The senior AAP leader said that his party was receiving "a very good response" from the people of Himachal Pradesh.
"But replacing the chief minister ahead of elections will not help the BJP hide the failures of its government in the state," Mr Sisodia said.
"The Aam Aadmi Party will form its government winning elections in Himachal Pradesh, no matter what they (BJP) do now," he added.
