Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister H.D. Devegowda tested Covid positive, admitted to Manipal Hospital.

It was the second time, former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo was infected to coronavirus. He has a very mild symptom, due to the age factor doctors have advised him to admit the hospital.

Former Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa has extended his best wishes for Gowda's speedy recovery.

In a tweet, Mr. Yediyurappa said, "I hope that senior leader and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda will soon recover from Coronavirus."

Karnataka has recorded 48,049 Covid cases on Friday and Bengaluru has 29,068 cases.

The total Covid positivity rate is 19.23 perecnt. 18,115 patients have discharged from the hospital. The total active case is 3,23,143 in the state.
