Goa to offer 3 LPG cylinders free for its citizens, allocates funds in budget
Making this announcement while presenting the budget, Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant declared that his government will be allocating Rs. 40 crore for the purpose for 2022-23.
Panaji: At a time when the domestic LPG cylinder price has reached Rs. 1000, the Goa government has decided to ease the burden of its citizens to some extent by offering three cylinders for a family the government.
Making this announcement while presenting the budget, Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant declared that his government will be allocating Rs. 40 crore for the purpose for 2022-23.
Claiming that his budget is for the development and prosperity of the state and its people, he said that the free cylinder will help the people of the State significantly.
"Presented the #StateBudget for the year 2022-23 in the Goa Assembly today. The Budget for the people of Goa, the Budget for the development of the state, the Budget for the Prosperity of the State," the Goa Chief Minister tweeted.
It may be noted that Sawant was sworn in as the new CM of Goa on Monday for the second consecutive term.
The key attendees included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Haryana CM ML Khattar and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
