Govt is busy with sales: Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took tweeter handle to criticized that the Centre is busy with sales instead of taking care of people during the Covid pandemic.
“Rising #COVID numbers are worrying. Vaccination must pick up the pace to avoid serious outcomes in the next wave. Please take care of yourselves because GOI is busy with sales”, Mr. Gandhi tweeted.
Rahul Gandhi has been critical against the Narendra Modi government on several issues, including handling of the covid pandemic, slow phase of vaccination drive, vaccine pricing, and Covid impact on the economy.
Congress leader has come down heavily on the Centre for its monetization scheme. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced earlier this week that government will raise an estimated Rs. 6 lakh crore over the next four years.
Mr. Gandhi has often attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over alleged ties with business houses, zeroing in on the likes of the Adani group and the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries.

Congress leader has accusing Centre that it has decided to sell public sector to cover up its mismanagement. The government initiative of monetization would help only two to three business people in the country, he criticized.
India has recorded 46,000 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, in which Kerala has contributed more than 65 percent of cases. Daily case numbers continue to hover around the 33,000-mark amid fear of a third wave and repeated warnings from experts that it is critical to increasing the pace of vaccination.
Recently Mr. Gandhi and then Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on a verbal fight over the shortage in supply of vaccines, which is the main bone of contention between both the Opposition and the ruling party.
