Govt likely give nod to open primary schools

Bengaluru: Pressure is mounting on the state government to allow physical classes for primary and higher primary schools in the state. 

To assess the feasibilities to start physical classes, Chief Minister Basaaraj Bommai and Primary Education minister H. Nagesh will hold a meeting with the Technical Advisory Committee on Covid on Monday. 

Meanwhile, BJP and RSS have demanded the state government celebrate Gouri- Ganesha fest in the state. Owing Covid pandemic, the state has banned the public celebration of Gouri-Ganesha festivals.

Regarding the opening of primary and higher primary schools, private management schools have urged the government to give permission for the same. The government has already allowed physical classes from 9th standard to 12th standard. 

However, government has not taken feedback from the parents, no parents associations opinion has sought in this regard.
