Joined politics because of Congress: Kejriwal
Kejriwal also took a dig at Congress for copying the AAP idea. AAP has made its candidates sign a legal affidavit and take an oath of not leaving the party, Congress has asked its candidate to made a similar oath after signing the affidavits.
Panaji: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he entered politics because of Congress.
While campaigning for party candidates in Goa, Mr. Kejriwal said that Congress had failed to work for people which is why several people like him had to enter politics.
Responding to the comment of Congress chief spokesperson, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Mr. Kejriwal said, “let congress leaders speak whatever they want. Congress leaders keep badmouthing on me. All time they are thinking about me”, he replied.
Mr. Surjewal termed Kejriwal as ‘Chhota Modi’, AAP is contesting Goa elections to give covering fire to the incumbent BJP, which was likely to lose in the elections.
Kejriwal said that Congress instead of attacking him, it should have worked for the people. "Had they worked for the people, there was no need of Kejriwal in politics," he said. He further said that the people prefer his party because it does "good work".
