The statement incurred strong reactions from BJP leaders on the third anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack.
Hyderabad: Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao stirred up a political honests' nest questioning the surgical strike by the Indian Army, during a press conference on Sunday. Rao sought proof for the surgical strike by the Army following the attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama in 2019.
“Even today, I am asking for the proof. Let the government of India show (the proof). The BJP makes false propaganda that is why people are asking for it,” KCR said in the press meet.
The statement incurred strong reactions from BJP leaders on the third anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy condemned KCR's statement against armed forces. Kishan Reddy said, "I strongly condemn the irresponsible statement of Telangana CM, against Indian armed forces. The fact that this came in on the eve of the anniversary of Pulwama attack shows the insensitivity, irresponsibility, ignorance and that's unbecoming of a CM".
Anurag Thakur said, "Words of Congress and TRS sound similar to that of Pakistan. Whenever elections come, they do new experiments - be it hijab or surgical strike because they can't compete with BJP as far as development is concerned. The questioning surgical strike shows the mindset of KCR. "
