Madya Pradesh police take holy dip in Ganga with handcuffed accused
The police team of Burhanpur has gone to Pratapgarh to arrest an accused, after taking him to custody, police went to Prayagraj and took a dip in Ganga with the accused.
Burhanpur (Madya Pradesh): Madya Pradesh DGP has issued a show-cause notice to Burhanpur police for violating police rules. After arresting an accused in Uttar Pradesh, Burhanpur police have taken a holy dip in the river Ganga with handcuffed accused.
Embarrassed by the incident, the Madya Pradesh police have served notice to the policeman leading the team after video of the incident that took place at Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj in February.

Burhanpur Superintendent of police Rahul Kumar Lodha said that notice has been issued to Sub-Inspector Keshav Patil of Lalbagh police station.
After arresting the accused police team should have returned to the base, instead, they went to Prayagraj and took a holy dip of Ganga with handcuffed accused, the SP said.
Police sub-inspector Keshav Patil, who led the team to UP to arrest the accused on February 16.
Someone shot a video after seeing a handcuffed man taking a dip in the Ganga at Prayagraj, it was stated, NDTV reported.
The video has now been brought to the attention of the police and a notice was served to the policeman last week, another official said.
