Washington: Software major Microsoft, in its second-largest acquisition, has closed on its approximately 16 billion dollars acquisition of speech recognition company Nuance, according to Associated Press.
The deal, which was announced last year, helps Microsoft get more entrenched into hospitals and the health care industry through Nuance's widely used medical dictation and transcription tools.
Nuance is an American multinational computer software technology corporation, headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, that markets speech recognition and artificial intelligence software.
