Price rises: Congress takes cycle jatha to Vidhana Soudha
Bengaluru: Congress leaders have taken out cycle jatha from the KPCC office in Queens Road to Vidhana Soudha, protesting price rises.
It was the second protest by Congress leaders in less than a week, KPCC President D.K.Shivakumar, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, Legislative Council leader S.R. Patil participated in cycle jatha.
Speaking to reporters that, Mr. Shivakumar alleged that the Centre and State is resorting to pick-pocket of common men. The government is not bothering about the apathy of common men, we are demanding the government to reduce the Petrol and Diesel rate Rs. 25 and Rs. 20 respectively. KPCC President also demanded to reduce the LPC cylinder rate by Rs.200.

“Due to price rice, common people are suffering, many people are pledging their ornaments in the banks. To draw the attention of the people, we are resorting Cycle Jatha; in coming days, we will continue our protest against price rise hike”, Mr. Shivakumar said.
