Ministers' dissatisfaction will settle down soon, says Bommai
Bengaluru: All is not well in the Basavaraj Bommai Cabinet as newly inducted ministers are openly expressing dissatisfaction over portfolio allocation.
MTB Nagaraj and Anand Singh, both the leaders who defected to BJP in 2019, have reached out to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai requesting the allocation of new portfolios.
Reacting to the ministers' dissatisfaction, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, " I have spoken to him (Anand Singh). I think Anand Singh's issue will be settled down very soon. I will call MTB Nagaraj and speak to him as well".

Four days after forming his Cabinet, the Chief Minister has allotted the portfolios to the ministers after discussing with RSS and BJP central leaders. Plum portfolios such as Home, Energy and Social Welfare have been allocated to Araga Jnanendra, V.Sunil Kumar, and Kota Srinivasa Poojari. All are from RSS backgrounds.
MTB Nagaraj is allocated with municipal administration, small scale industries and public sector industries. The ecology, Environment and Tourism department is allocated to Anand Singh.
"Whatever request I made at the party forum has not been considered. I am planning to meet the CM and will request him to reconsider my request," Anand Singh was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
