Mumbai: Santa Cruz convent celebrates centenary year mass
St Teresa has 2,800 girl students from Class 1 to 10 on its rolls at present. Right from its inception in 1922, the institute remained a landmark in Bandra, Khar and Santa Cruz through the 1960s and 1970s when convent education was a prized asset for girls.
Principal Sr Mary Simone said, "Our girls have excelled in all fields from science and tecnology to law and cinema. We launched the centenary celebrations on June 27, 2022 with an inaugural mass. A special logo was designed with the theme 'Igniting the Spirit of Excellence'. The year-long celebration included programmes and activities for students, parents, ex-students and former teachers. On Tuesday June 27, we concluded the year-long festivity with a Thanksgiving Mass attended by our staff, students, parents and well wishers”.
