NIA arrests Ex-MLA Idinabba's granddaughter in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: National Investigating Agency (NIA)has taken into custody of Deepthi Marla Alias Mariyam, granddaughter of former MLA of Ullal constituency B.M. Idinabba for her alleged links with ISIS.
It was the second time NIA had taken her into interrogation for alleged connection with ISIS. NIA officials led by DSP Krisha Kumar, PI, Ajay Singh and Monika Dhikwal took Deepthi into custody.
Earlier NIA has interrogated Mariyam but did not show the arrest, but today NIA has likely to be arrested Mariyam for further interrogation. Mariyam has married Anas Abdul Rahiman, grandson of former MLA, Idinabba. NIA has arrested Amar Abdul Rehman in August 2021, another grandson of Idinabba for his alleged links with ISIS.
NIA closely watching the movements of Mariyam, Deepthi Alias Mariyam hails from Kodagu, while she studying BDS Course in Deralakatte, she fell in love with Anas and converted to Islam and changed her name to Mariyam.
It is said that she had connections with terrorist outfit ISIS and had links with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. NIA officials investigated Mariyam on the suspicion that she is involved in the racquet of recruiting youths to the ISIS network, sources said.
